I have some information to provide so you'll know how to fix this error, Sulaiman.
Some customers are experiencing similar issues while creating 1099s. But we have a few available workarounds that you can try to be able to successfully submit the form. Since we have identified an issue where Tax IDs didn't save properly, you'll want to re-enter the information and then save it to trigger the system. You can do this by going to your Company settings. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon, then select Accounts and settings.
- Under the Company tab, click the pencil icon to edit the EIN.
- Click Save and Done.
Once done, go back to the Prepare 1099 window. Under the Review recipients window, click the pencil icon and make changes to the Tax Identification Number.
After that, you can now start filing. However, if you're still getting the error, I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can add you to the affected list of users. This way, you'll be notified once the issue is fixed.
Moreover, take a closer look at your business and employees' information. Check out the list of payroll reports that you can use to get the right data for your business. I've added this article for reference: Run Payroll Reports.
You can always keep in touch if you need further assistance when creating a 1099. As always, the Community is always here to cover all your concerns. Have a nice day ahead.
