Join nowHello,
I am wondering who is using integrations with sales tax calculating software and QuickBooks Desktop. We do business in 43+ States and pay sales tax in several of them.
We recently signed up for Avalara Avatax. The integration is poor at best. DO NOT USE THEM! They do have an integration, but has several issues. You cannot call for support, have to file a ticket with level one support that knows NOTHING about QuickBooks, and often wait 2 to 10 days for a reply to the issue, which often does not answer the question. Once you send a reply, the waiting time begins again. The support is not located in the US, it is in another country which makes communication difficult. The answers are often canned and do not answer the question that was posted. Our company is a software developer at this time I can tell you I know more about their software than most of the Tech support.
Please tell me what your using and how you like it.
Thanks in advance
Brent
Thus I am in search of a new vendor.
Hello there, @Xanatek.
This isn't the kind of experience I'd like you to have with QuickBooks.
I can see you are having issues with Avalara AvaTax integration with QuickBooks. That said, I recommend sending your feedback to our developer team.
Here's how:
Lastly,

I also need sales tax program to work with Qbooks Desktop. We also have an online store using WooCommerece and the My Works Sync to get sales into Qbooks. We have been trying TaxJar with our Woo Commerce. It calculates the correct amount but when the sales receipt pull over to
Qbooks, I have to look up and add jurisdiction to Qbooks. There has to be easier way to do this. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Let's make sure to sort this out, droybal.
You'll have to ensure that sales tax is correctly set up and is successfully synced in QuickBooks so it accurately calculates the amount. If it doesn't give the right number, you'll want to contact TaxJar so they can guide you and help you with the process.
You may also want to visit our QuickBooks page to see what are some of the third-party application that works for you. You'll only have to review the ratings so you'll be able to make the right choice. I've added a screenshot for a visual guide:
Furthermore. learn how you can customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop to get the right information for your business. I've added this article for more information: Customize Reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
Fill me in if you have any questions about sales. I'm always right here to help. Have a nice day!
Thank you for your prompt response. However, Taxjar does not currently support our version of Quickbooks. I will do some research for other third-party apps. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
Good morning droybal,
