Buy now & saveOn Form NYS-45, Part C – Quarterly employee/payee wage reporting and withholding now requires that NYS, NYC and Yonkers withholdings are reported separately, but the existing forms in QB combines these so it makes it difficult now for us to file the NYS 45, is QB working on a fix for this?
Thanks
Steve
Has it been fixed yet?

THERE IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH NYS-45 FOR FIRST QUARTER 2025. THE PROGRAM IS NOT REPORTING THE CORRECT WITHHOLDINGS FOR THE EMPLOYEES. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULITIPLE TIMES, AND WHEN I TRIED CONTACTING SUPPORT, THEY SAID I NEEDED TO UPDATE. WHICH WAS A ANSWER GIVEN TO ME JUST TO SAY IT WAS RESOLVED.
WELL THAT DID NOT WORK AT ALL. QB USERS THAT PROCESS THEIR NYS-45 FOR 2025 SHOULD CAREFULLY REVIEW THE WITHHOLDINGS REPORTED FOR EACH EMPLOYEE. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MOST WITH EMPLOYERS THAT HAVE SEVERAL EMPLOYEES. IT HAS HAPPENED ON 3 OUT OF THE 4 EMPLOYERS REPORTS THAT I HAVE PROCESSEED.
I WISH THERE WAS A PHONE NUMBER AVAILABLE TO REPORT CRITICAL ISSUES. BUT IT IS LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD, SEARCH OUR WEBSITE, AND YOU RARELY CAN SPEAK TO ANYONE WHO WILL RESOLVE AN ISSUE.
Hello, Steve.
I understand that this affects your filings and can be challenging for you. Please view and consider the suggested solution from one of our experts about a similar question you've asked previously on this thread: NYS-45 QB PREPARATION ERROR 2025.
Additionally, if you need guidance in generating a report to view your payroll totals, including employee taxes and contributions, check out this article: Create a Payroll Summary Report.
Feel free to reach out if you need further assistance or have any inquiries relating to payroll concerns.
As Steve stated, the problem appears to be with the system, not the users. I had to refresh my payroll service key (manage, edit, etc) to get the reports to appear as options in file forms. I ran the 941 quarterly with no issues, however, the detail for the NYS Tax withholding amounts for my employees on my NYS 45 are missing. The total tax withheld shows, but the employee information for that item is blank. Fortunately, I do not NYS or Yonkers taxes to withhold, so I can manually calculate this myself, but for WHAT I PAY FOR THIS PROGRAM, and with another increase about to hit at my renewal next month, I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO. DO BETTER!!!!
