Mileage

I can't export my 2023 tax information from quickbooks to Turbo tax because it is saying that my business miles can't be more than actual miles driven. There is no way for me to change those numbers. How can I edit those numbers? And there is also a vehicle saved on my account that I did not put there that I can't delete that has business miles. How to edit mileage and delete vehicles?

Mileage

I have expertise in editing mileage and managing vehicles using QuickBooks Self-Employed, @Pmiller. Let me assist you in reaching your goals.

In QBSE, editing mileage to accurately record the distance requires knowing the total miles first. Here's how:

  1. In the Miles tab, decide the Tax year.
  2. After that, get the total miles.

Once you have the total miles, follow these steps to input them:

  1. From the gear icon, choose Vehicle info in Taxes.
  2. Decide the vehicle you used and hit the Tax year dropdown.
  3. Tap the radio button by entering the total miles driven under the Tax info.
  4. Once finished, select Save.

Additionally, you can deactivate a vehicle if you no longer desire to track it. See the steps provided:

  1. In Apps, select Mileage.
  2. From the Add trip dropdown, choose Manage Vehicles.
  3. Determine what vehicle you want to make inactive and hit Vehicle no longer in use.
