The new format for sales tax is not giving me the option of the different counties in OHIO that I have setup in Quickbooks. How do I find them?

Ohio Sales tax is per county. Not a statewide tax. That is the way I had it in quickbooks before, but now with the new format, I cannot find them!

I understand the challenges you're experiencing with the new sales tax format in QuickBooks not providing the option for different counties in Ohio as you had set up before, allclear. I'm here to share insights about this.

With the new update of QuickBooks Online (QBO), it will automatically generate based on the customer's address. This means there is no need for you to set it up manually. You'll have to make sure that you are setting up the correct address.

When creating an invoice, the system will calculate the sales tax based on the customer's address. I've added a screenshot for your reference.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they can pull up your account securely and provide specific guidance to resolve the problem.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right-hand corner.
  2. Type in Talk to a human, then press Enter.
  3. Select Contact Support Team.
  4. Type again Talk to a human and click Contact Support Team.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us.

I've added this article to learn more about how to set up your sales tax rate in QBO: Set up your sales tax in QuickBooks Online.

Keep your posts coming if you have further questions about the sales tax format in QBO. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
