There's a way to track the days of your employees who work in a city-based project address, Marina27.
To do this, you can utilize the Use Weekly Timesheet feature in QBDT. This allows you to monitor the days they have worked inside and outside the city. In addition, you may consider using the class functionality to distinguish the days and hours your employees have worked for this project within the city. I can walk you through the process of doing so.
Classes are usually designed for those recurring activities you want to monitor or facilitate. If you want to set up this, here's how:
- Open your QBDT.
- Go to the Edit menu, then select Preferences.
- Select Accounting, then go to the Company Preferences tab.
- Tick the Use class tracking for transactions checkbox.
- If you want a reminder when you haven't assigned a class, select the Prompt to assign classes checkbox.
- Select OK.
Once done, we can now set up class categories for expenses, accounts, or even your employee's paycheck.
- Go to the Lists menu, then select Class List.
- From the Class drop-down menu, select New.
- Enter the class name.
- If it's a subclass, select the Subclass of checkbox and find the class it's under in.
- Select OK to add it.
After that, you can add this class to your employee's Payroll info. Here's how:
- Go to Employee, then Employee Center.
- On the Employees tab, select the customer you want to track.
- On the Payroll Info, go to CLASS.
- Select the intended class for this.
- Hit OK.
