Allow me to provide some information as to why your employee's information peeks through the envelope window.
When printing W-2 forms on a pre-printed form, the employee's SSN might be visible through the return address window. Although Workforce copies have it masked, copies within QuickBooks Online Payroll and QuickBooks Desktop aren't masked or truncated. Similarly, copies from the QuickBooks tax center, Archive, or Resources contain the full SSN.

- Click the Help option.
- Choose the Send Feedback Online option.
