When importing QB to turbo tax, do my unpaid quarterly taxes get automatically covered by a return I may get?

I have have all quarters from 2023 unpaid. I tried to do it for the first quarter and couldn't figure it out, so I said screw it and decided id do it all at once around tax time. I was successful on importing, but I need to know if the taxes were automatically covered by my return or not, as I've imported and filed already. Thanks.

When importing QB to turbo tax, do my unpaid quarterly taxes get automatically covered by a return I may get?

Hi there, @DeeCL.

I am here to provide you with accurate information regarding your tax-related question. When importing your QuickBooks Self-Employed data to TurboTax, your unpaid quarterly taxes aren't automatically covered by any potential tax return. If you have due quarterly taxes, it's crucial to ensure that you pay them separately to avoid potential penalties.

To pay these unpaid taxes, you can start by identifying when the federal estimated quarterly tax payments are due. You should also check if your state requires estimated quarterly tax payments.

Moreover, since you've already filed your taxes, I recommend contacting TurboTax support for more guidance in handling this situation.

In addition, you can check the annual tax guide for QuickBooks Self-Employed, which includes guidance on monitoring your income, expenses, and tax particulars, as well as recommendations for preparing to submit your taxes.

If you need additional help in filing your taxes, please don't hesitate to reply. We're always here to support you.
