I'm wanting to print my 1099's for 2024, but when I open my 1099 wizard, it shows tax year 2023. I've tried checking for QuickBooks updates and it says I'm up to date.
I appreciate what you've done so far, @EdeeJ. Let me direct you to the best support group available to resolve this issue so you can print your 1099 for 2024 seamlessly.
Since you've updated your program to its latest release yet the issue continues, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Mac support team. That way, they can further investigate the issue securely and may create a ticket for investigation if needed.

Which version of QuickBooks Mac are you running? Also, when you are inside of QuickBooks if you go to Help and select Product Information what does the Product Line show the 'R' value?
After you check the Product Information and find your version and release you can compare it against what I listed below, those are the current versions and releases needed for that to work.
QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2024 - Release R7
QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2023 - Release R12.2
QuickBooks Desktop Mac 2022 - Release R7.3
If for some reason QuickBooks is not detecting the current update for your version, I would go to the following website and download the version from there, it should contain the latest update for each version.
