I'm here to share additional troubleshooting steps to get past the error and create your backup successfully.
To start, let's set your QuickBooks to run as administrator.
Close QuickBooks Desktop.
Right-click the QuickBooks Desktop icon, then select Properties.
Under the Compatibility tab, select Run this program as administrator.
Select Apply, then OK.
Create a backup.
If you get the same error message, you'll need to check the permissions of the QuickBooks Desktop company file and correct it if necessary. If you get the same result, I recommend repair QuickBooks to fix unexpected behavior like this.
