Can anyone help me clarify or correct my income in qbo? My income in qbo seems to be exactly double the amount I have actually gotten paid.

My invoices are being paid by my customer Physically deposited into my bank account. Qbo recognizes and asks me to match. I do that and go into my A/R and recieve payment. So now my qbo balance is double.

I'm happy to help you correct your income in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @agcoservicesllc@. This way, you can keep your account accurate and updated.

Based on your description, I can tell that you've recorded your payments twice which is why your income amount doubled. To correct this, let's  go to your income account's register and delete the duplicate transactions. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting menu.
  2. Select Chart of accounts.
  3. Locate your income account and click View register under the Action column.
  4. Find the transactions you want to delete, and open them one at a time.
  5. Choose the transaction to open its details. Then, click Delete.
  6. Select Yes to confirm. 80.PNG

Also, I'd encourage you to reconcile your accounts every month. This will help manage your income and expenses and detect any possible errors accordingly. For the complete guide, please refer to this article: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Please keep me posted in the comments if you have other concerns about managing your income transactions in QBO. I'm always ready to help. Stay safe, @agcoservicesllc@.
