Let me share some information about inactivating customers in QuickBooks Online (QBO), Jeff.
When removing a customer, you can make them inactive which hides them from lists and menus. However, all their transactions will still be available on reports. I've added this article for more details on managing customers: Add and manage customers in QuickBooks Online. You can also use this link to update any information about your customers: Edit customer information.
What we can do is customize the report and manually choose the customers in the Filter section. See the screenshot for your reference:

We can also run the Profit and Loss by Customer report to show only the customer names you need. Here's how:
- From the left menu, go to Reports.
- Enter Profit & Loss by Customer in the search box.
- Click the Customize button.
- Under Filter, select Customer and choose the customer names.
- Click Run report.
Furthermore, QuickBooks allows you to customize reports to display specific accounts and customers or format the layout to ensure the right data appears in the right place.
If you have more questions about reviewing the Profit and Loss report, feel free to ask here, and I'll be here to help you out. you have a good one.
