Buy nowEvery time after I open quickbooks desktop pro 2018 it says Your current session will expire in X days. For uninterrupted access to intuit account, sign in now. Except I can't sign in. Initially there's a spinning circle in the right side but then it goes away and its just a blank white page. It also says you'll need to update your software to access your Intuit account here. I already downloaded and installed the webpatch and it makes no difference. This makes qb unuseable since the only way to close the window is to use task manager and the closes quickbooks. Whats the solution?
I lowered the screen zoom from 150% to 125% and now theres on X on the window, then it gives me an option to cancel. This lets me into QB but it still doesn't let me sign into the Intuit Account so I expect the problem will come back.

Did you ever find a solution? I am still using 2018, and just recently opened a new company file to track personal expenses. It now insists I must sign into my Intuit account through QB, but like you experienced, it won't let me. I am trying all sorts of things to get the web connection to work. Nothing so far. Thanks!
Hi LoveGreen, the prompt to log in to your Intuit account within the product is a required feature designed for your security and protection.
Since the QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2018 version has been discontinued and no longer supported, the link used to complete this login may no longer function correctly.
To maintain your workflow and restore the connection to your Intuit account within the product, you may consider upgrading to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop.

You can open your old company file and run the Condense Data utility to remove all transactions, edit the Chart of Accounts and Lists to suit your needs, and then save the file with a new name. Alternatively, you can use the trial version of QB Desktop 2020 or 2021 as a workaround.
