I appreciate the steps you've taken to resolve the bank error you've encountered, Bryan. I'm here to help you get past this so you can continue managing your transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
The bank error 377 occurs because of these factors:
- There are glitches with your transactions.
- QuickBooks can't get your bank's data.
- There's an update on your bank's security measures and configurations.
Since the Fix now link did not resolve the issue, I recommend visiting your bank's website. From there, review if there are some system updates or server maintenance. You can also call their support team to check or inquire directly with them.
If there are no issues on the bank's end, I suggest disconnecting and reconnecting the account. But before doing so, please ensure your For review tab is empty or its transactions are already categorized.
Once you remove the account from online banking, its data will remain on the Chart of accounts (COA). To disconnect the account, please refer to these steps:
- Go to the Transactions menu and select Bank transactions.
- Select your American Express account and click its Pencil icon.
- Choose Edit account info and tick the Box icon beside Disconnect this account on save.
- Once done, click Save and close.
After that, reconnect the account to online banking from the COA page. Here's how:
- From the Transactions menu, select Chart of accounts.
- Enter your account's name on the Filter by name or number search bar.
- Click the dropdown arrow under the Action column and select Connect bank.
- Enter your bank's name or URL and follow the onscreen process of linking an account.
Nevertheless, if the issue persists, kindly contact our Customer Care Team. They're well-equipped to dig deeper into this matter and provide accurate resolution.
Additionally, reconciling your account in QuickBooks after receiving your bank or credit card statement is essential. It helps ensure you have accurate records in the system.
