I'll help get back on track, Rick.
You only have read-only access to canceled QuickBooks subscriptions. But no worries, I have troubleshooting steps to help you reactivate the plan.
Are you updating your business details on the Company page? If so, the information shouldn't save there, as you have read-only access.
To help fix this issue, I'd recommend following the steps below:
If the problem persists, I'd recommend you log into your account through incognito, as Fiat Lux - ASIA suggests. This way, we can verify if this is a browser-related problem.
Use the hotkeys below:
Once logged in, resubscribe again to verify if it's performing well. If you successfully reactivate your subscription, please return to your regular browser and press the CTRL+ Shift and Delete keys on the keyboard to clear the cache.
Additionally, check out this article below on how to update the billing schedule and payment method, and troubleshoot some technical issues: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, feel free to watch our QuickBooks video tutorials or attend webinars to learn various tips and tricks on how to handle business.
Mention me in a comment below if you have additional queries about the QuickBooks subscription. I'll be around to help you out. Keep safe.
Good afternoon, I am trying to renew my subscription but every time I click it it tells me that there is an issue and I have to try later. When I try to log in it tells me my account does not exist. I have had Quickbooks for years.

If you've forgotten your account's user ID and/or password, but still have access to the phone/email on file with your account, you can recover it.
Here's how:
Once you're back into your account, you can change its email address, phone number, or password if necessary. If you've lost access to the phone/email attached to your Intuit Account, you can submit a Proof of Identity form to request recovery of it.
Since you're currently unsubscribed, you should be prompted to resubscribe as soon as you sign in to the company. If not, you can manually initiate the process.
If it continues displaying a message advising that there's an issue and to try again later, I'd recommend checking your browser. It's possible this could have something to do with temporary internet files. Browsing applications store these types of records, but sometimes they can cause issues with certain webpages. You can open a private window and check to see if the message displays when trying to resubscribe.
Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used web browsers:
If you're able to resubscribe while browsing privately, it's safe to say this problem's being caused by your browser. It can be fixed by clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies.
In the event the message continues displaying while browsing in incognito mode, you'll initially want to try switching to another browsing application.
Here's a list of supported browsers:
You can also check a browser's compatibility with QuickBooks by utilizing our browser health checkup tool. QuickBooks supports the current and two previous versions of browsers. If you find that you're using an unsupported version, make sure to update it to its latest release. Steps for doing so can be found on the particular company's website.
In the event you've found no problems that could be causing this with your browser, you'll want to check the operating system and internet speed you're working with.
Here's our recommended operating systems and internet speeds:
If you meet each of our system requirements, but are still encountering a message which won't allow you to reactivate your subscription, I'd recommend using a different device and/or internet connection. If it continues happening on other devices and internet connections, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up the account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
I've also included a detailed resource about system requirements for QuickBooks which may come in handy moving forward: System requirements
