Change font size on reports

Thank you for connecting with the Community, elana-schachner. I will be happy to show you how to change the font size on your reports. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon, located at the top of the page.
  2. Under Your Company, select Custom form styles.
  3. Locate the form that needs to be edited.
  4. In the Action column, click the Edit option.
  5. Under Design, you should see an option Select a different font, as seen below.
  6. Make adjustments to the size and change the font if you want.
  7. Hit Done once completed.

This will save this custom form style to the setting you created. You can preview your report and make more adjustments if necessary. For more information about customizing reports in Quickbooks Online, this link is very informative.

Please let me know if you need assistance. The Community and I are here to help you in any way we can. Take care and be safe.

Thanks for joining the thread to get help with your report, @hassgeo,

To share more insights about this, the report fonts in QuickBooks is currently non-customizable.

For now, you can use the zoom control on the browser or keyboard to increase or decrease the size of the details on the report. You can hold the Ctrl and + keys or Ctrl key and then use the mouse to scroll up.

Change font size on reports

Hello.  If you are wishing to change the font size for all Reports... Go to the top and select "EDIT", then "Preferences", then "Reports & Graphs".  At this screen, now select "Company Preferences".  Once this opens:  Click OFF the checkmark on "Default & Formatting for Reports"... then click on "Format...".  Once new screen opens, click on "Fonts & Numbers" tab.  Then click on "Change Font" (just like you continuously have to do for each Report you had been running cause the print is sooooo tiny.  Then select your preferences (ie:  Ariel, Regular (saves ink), Font 12 or 14).  Reply "OK" to this and your future Report fonts will be this.  Next questions to confirm this:  "Change all related fonts?"  YES, "Report Format Reference" screen OK, "Preference" screen OK.  Done.  Best of luck.... :)

I think this works on desktop.  We are looking for qbo report font size change.  Incredibly disappointing that this is not customizable.

I understand every business has unique needs, @mrstcao

Yes, you're right. Currently, we're unable to customize the font size of reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO). As a workaround, you can zoom in on the screen by pressing the Ctrl buttons simultaneously on your keyboard. Alternatively, you may export it to Excel, so you'll have the freedom to personalize the appearance of your reports according to your preferences.

I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts here in the Community. Don't worry. We listen to customer feedback to improve your QBO experience. That said, allow me to help you share your valuable insight with our software engineers. This way, they can review your suggestion and may possibly take it into account in our next product enhancements. To do that:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback under Profile.
  3. Enter your feature request, then Next.

Moreover, you can send a report by email on a recurring schedule in QBO in case you need to forward it to your employees.

Keep me updated on your concerns about reports by leaving a response below. I'll ensure to respond promptly to your queries. Take care.

Change font size on reports

The bold font in Quickbooks Online in the reports when they are run as PDF is nearly illegible- it's so blurred and uncrisp.  Is there a way to change the font or at least unbold the bolds?

Great to see you contributing in Community, @daberg. Let me share some insights on customizing font in QuickBooks Online (QBO) reports.

Currently, it's not possible to change the font size of reports in QuickBooks Online (QBO), especially when exporting as PDF since it's already set as default in the program. However, there are two workarounds that you can use. Firstly, you can zoom in on the screen by pressing the Ctrl + buttons simultaneously on your keyboard to make the report larger and easier to read. Alternatively, you can export the report to Excel, which will allow you to customize the appearance of your report according to your preferences.

To export your report to Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Find and open the report you want to export.
  2. Click on the Export icon.
  3. Choose Export to Excel.
  4. Save the file in a location where you can easily find it.
  5. Open the report in Excel and customize the fonts as required.
