Changing the Company Name

The company I used when I started with QB in 1994 was dissolved in 2014.  I want to change the primary name to another company that was also put in QB in 1994.  I have the documents they request to make this change, but can't find a way to upload them for their review???

TIA for any help anyone can provide.

Changing the Company Name

To modify your business name in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can complete the Business Name Change Request form and forward it to us, CalfDoc.

 

Here's the process:

 

  1. Download and complete the  Business Name Change template.
  2. Prepare to upload the following supporting documents:
    • Current government-issued ID like a state-issued ID, a driver's license, or a passport
    • Proof of payment for the service or product: subscription payments, the account number, and your name.
  3. Contact us to submit the form, government-issued ID, and proof that you paid for the service or product through Intuit Customer File Exchange.

 

Once everything is in order, you'll receive an email confirming the update within 3–5 business days.

The link you provided            Intuit Customer File Exchange         takes me to a web page where I learned that I need to get a PIN from Intuit to upload my files.  How do I obtain a PIN?

When uploading a file to the Intuit Customer File Exchange, a required PIN may be due to the recipient's security settings. Let me direct you to the right support who can help you resolve this, CalfDoc.

 

You can contact our support team so they can assist you and provide the PIN that you can use. To do so, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Click Contact Us to be connected to an expert for help.
