chart of accounts

Chart of Accounts is completely missing.

I enabled in advanced settings. But it's not in the settings (gear) menu, Accounting side menu, or even in the search at top of QBO. Even the link in help goes to a 'sorry' page. https://qbo.intuit.com/app/chartofaccounts

How do I get to the chart of accounts?

Hi @eturk. Your subscription level determines your access to the Chart of Accounts. While QuickBooks Online Lite does not include this feature, it is available in the Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, and Advanced plans.

If your subscription is Simple Start, Essentials, Plus, or Advanced, browser cache might be preventing you from using the Chart of Accounts. Here's how to fix this:

  • Refresh your browser.
  • Sign out and sign back in to your QBO account.

If the issue persists, try accessing your account in a private or incognito window. This prevents your browser from storing cache and cookies, which often resolves temporary glitches. You can also try a different compatible browser to ensure optimal performance.

QuickBooks Online Lite offers unlimited invoices and estimates, automated sales tax management, mobile app access, and connectivity for up to two bank accounts. It allows you to separate business and personal expenses using 150 predefined tax categories to maximize deductions. It does not support custom categories or access to the Chart of Accounts.

You can consider upgrading to a higher subscription to handle COA. Feel free to check this page for more details: Upgrade or Change Your Subscription.

Feel free to utilize the Reply button if you have other questions about the program.
