You can set up the new user as an employee or vendor to send them an invite, CPdispatch. I'm pleased to provide the steps to guide you through the process.
In QuickBooks Online, the Track time only role is for employees or vendors that need to track time. Hence, we need to add the user as an employee or vendor to assign the role to them.
Here's how:
- Head to the Gear icon, then Manage users.
- Enter their Personal info from the designated fields.
- Select Track time only from the Roles dropdown.
- Click on View all permissions, then Sync team member.
- Add a new team member by choosing + Add new.
- Enter the user details and hit Save.
- Sync their information by clicking the Sync button.
- Click Send invitation.
Please note that this role only allows them to enter timesheets for themselves and access timesheets and time reports. It's also not for vendors who track payments for 1099. Thus, you can enter their timesheet instead if you need to track their time. Although you have the option to invite them with a different email address.
