The reason why the "Learn More" link isn't directing you to the next step is because these are the old steps to convert a QuickBooks Online file. Allow me to provide you with the right steps to get your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data into your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) account. It only takes a few easy steps.
Here's how:
Step 1: Log into QuickBooks Online and prepare file for export.
- Ensure that you're logged into the QBO account you want to convert.
- Highlight the URL and replace anything after /app/ with exportqbodatatoqbdt. Don't edit the number that shows up at the end of the URL.
- Review the "Export Overview." (You can print it if you'd need that information) Hit Get Started.
Step 2: Download QuickBooks Desktop and the migration tool
- Download and install QuickBooks Desktop if you haven't already.
- Right-click on the QBDT icon and choose to Run as administrator.
- Go to the File menu.
- Hit Close Company.
- Leave QBDT open until you complete the rest of the steps.
- Tap Download tool to download and install the migration tool.
- Once it's finished, pick Continue.

After you've successfully converted the file and the data is pulled over, you can choose to cancel your QBO account.
