Hi graphicsetc,
You can search the transaction by amount. QBO has an Advanced search option where you can just search transactions by the amount.
Please note that if a transaction is already showing an R (reconciled) mark in the bank register, it will no longer appear in any future reconciliations. Please check it in your bank register to find out.

I have already used the advanced search and looked in my bank account and journal entries for that dollar amount and nothing comes up when I search. Is there any other way to find that amount within QBO? If it had not been entered somehow within QBO then my balance at the bank would show $7000 more than my balance in QBO, but it doesn't. The two balances are the same which means that $7000 was entered into QBO, correct? If I can't find where it is or how it was entered, can I create a Journal Entry which will allow me to reconcile my 12/2022 bank statement?
I've got other options to locate the transaction, graphicsetc.
You can use the Audit log feature to find the transaction. Using the option, you can keep track of added, deleted, and modified transactions, as well as user entries. Here are the steps:
Another way is to run a specific report and customize it to the data needed.
