Welcome to the Community, @sonny10

Logging out of your QuickBooks Online account is quick and easy. Let me guide you on how to do it:

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Go to your Profile.

  3. Click Sign out.

Additionally, you might wish to customize QBO to operate the way you want it to be, by tweaking a few options and features: Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to leave a reply if you need further assistance with managing your QBO account. I'm here to help anytime. Take care, and enjoy your weekend.

Thanks Nicole,

I don't have the blue circle that you have. I have attached an image of what my screen looks like. I have nothing to the right of the wheel. I have also tried FULL screen and there is no change.

Hi Nicole,

I believe this issue is with Google Chrome (on a MAC). I logged in using Safari and it was there BUT Intuit recommends using Chrome instead of Safari.

Hello @sonny10, thanks for updating us on this and I appreciate your effort in sending a screenshot.

Please know that Google Chrome and Safari are supported web browsers of QuickBooks Online. Sometimes, the system occasionally behaves strangely when the browser frequently accesses pages. It could be due to corrupted cache files in your browser. It might be the reason why you're unable to see the profile icon.

Allow me to help you perform some basic troubleshooting steps to sort this out. I recommend using a different browser or a private window to help you fix this so QuickBooks Online runs effectively. You can use these shortcut keys to access a private window or an incognito:

  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, please try to perform the steps again on how to sign out. If you're able to see the profile, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache to fix the unexpected behavior in the product. Otherwise, you can use other supported web engines to learn what computer and browser are needed for the best experience when using QuickBooks.

If you are experiencing pages that aren't fully loading in QuickBooks Online, check out this link for additional troubleshooting: QuickBooks Online doesn't load correctly or has blank pages.

Keep me posted on how it goes on your end. I want to ensure that this is taken care of. Have a good one.
