How did you pay bills for QBO account? Thru your accountant or directly to Intuit? Do you have the access as Primary Admin?
Removing accountant access is a breeze, @amyjeanyeager05.
Just make sure you have the Admin rights so you can perform the process. Once confirmed, here are the steps you can follow:
Once finished, you can now add your new bookkeeper to your QBO account: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.
Just in case you'll need an additional person to manage your QBO account, you can easily add them as one of the users. Then, to manage what they can and cannot do within your company file, you can restrict their access.

I have three accountants listed, and two have "Delete" next to their name. The one I want deleted does not have delete next to their name, so how do I delete them?
Did you pay your QBO subscription thru the accountant you want to remove? Is she/he the Primary Admin of your account?
I've come to share details of handling an accountant user in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, @gn_crux.
The verifications of @Fiat Lux - ASIA are correct. You're maybe part of the accountant's wholesale billing (paying subscription directly to the accountant you want to remove) and you aren't the Primary Admin of your QBO account. That's why the accountant you want to remove doesn't have the Delete option next to their name.
To check, you'll first need to know who's the Primary Admin of your QBO account. Here's how:
Once your subscription is under the accountant's wholesale billing, you'll have to contact them to remove your company from their plan. This way, you'll have full control of your account and start paying for your own subscription.

Ok, full disclosure. I'm the primary admin. When I gave myself access as the accountant, it locked me out of some items reserved for the primary admin. On the accounting side, I dropped my company as a client and now I'm locked out of my account as the primary admin and accountant. I was able to create a second profile with another email, but it's only an admin level. I think deleting my primary admin profile as an accountant would fix my problems, but I can't find a way to do it.
Thanks for getting back to us, gn_crux. Allow me to share some information regarding deleting the primary admin in QuickBooks Online.
Deleting the Primary Admin is unavailable in QuickBooks Online. This access is the main user of the account and the main person who initially set up the account.
