I am in the Trial phase and just want to see how best to use QB, so I put info in, but also want be able to change that or delete it, but how?

To make sure I'm on the same page, may I ask what information are you trying to change or delete? Any extra details about this concern would be greatly appreciated.

 

In the meantime, if you're trying to change your company information, you can go to the Account and Setting and change it from there. These are the info that customers see on sales forms and invoices, or your internal info on file with Intuit.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, select Account and Settings.
  2. Choose the Company menu.
  3. Select any item you want to update, just click the pencil icon.
  4. Hit Save, then Done

 

However, if the info you're trying to delete is a Sales or Expense transaction, you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to the Sales or Expenses menu.
  2. Find and open the transaction.
  3. Review the transaction. Make sure you need to void or delete it.
  4. If you want to include the void or delete date, add a note to the Memo or Message section.
  5. Select More in the footer. Then select Void or Delete.
  6. Click Yes to confirm.

for instance delete transactions, change the name of a (bank) account

Allow me to chime in and impart some insights on how to delete your transactions and change the name of your bank.

 

To delete a transaction in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account, you can refer to the steps provided by my colleague Joesem M above.

 

Then to change the name of your bank, let's go to the Banking or Transactions menu and modify it from there. I'd be glad to walk you through the steps. 

 

  1. Go to the Banking or Transactions menu, then click the Banking tab.
  2. Select the blue tile at the top for the bank account you want to update.
  3. Click the Edit pencil icon, then select Edit account info2.PNG
  4. Change the name of your account under the Name field. 2.PNG
  5. Then click Save and close once done.

Hello @tjibbeve2-icloud,

 

Let me offer help and share the screenshot you need so you can delete a transaction. In QuickBooks Online, most transactions have the More option at the bottom of the page that allows you to delete them.

 

Say an invoice, here's what it looks like if you're about to delete it:
