I can't export my report into an excel file

Hi @monir-akhavan,

Welcome to the Community. I'd be glad to assist you with exporting your report into an Excel file.

So that I can best assist you, could you please provide some additional information about why you're unable to export the report? Knowing this will help to ensure that I'm able to get you the best resolution.

In the meantime, I recommend the following article, which includes steps and a visual guide for this process: Export QuickBooks Online Reports to Excel.

Looking forward to your response. Wishing you all the best.

I can't export my report into an excel file

Hello, I've been trying to export a report to excel and get an error  'excel could not open the data file'. Also, I can only email reports as PDF's not Excel format reports. Any recommendations?

Hello, @Lucky12.

Let’s use an incognito browser and export the report. This will help determine whether this issue is browser-related.

Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + P for Internet Explorer or Firefox.
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N for Chrome.
  • Hold down Command + Shift + N for Safari.

If you're able to open the report, then go back to your regular browser and clear the cache.

Otherwise, update and repair Microsoft Office if you're referring to opening reports from Excel.

You can read through this article for more details about exporting data from QuickBooks Online: Export your reports to Excel.

Also, you can set a schedule and email information for a memorized report in QuickBooks.
