I cannot connect my HSBC business bank accounts to Quickbooks. I log on at www.hsbcnet.com, which isn't available. There are 27 options for HSBC but not that one. Help!

Does anyone else have a business account with HSBC that they access via www.hsbcnet.com?  How is that very standard login URL not supported by QB?

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

Hello there, michael.

I'll ensure you can connect your bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

First, may I know if you encounter any specific error message when connecting to the bank? If so, can you share it with us? This way, I can provide more detailed information on why you're unable to connect the HSBC business bank accounts to QBO.

In the meantime, you can perform the basic troubleshooting steps to rectify the issue.

First, you'll want to restart your browser. Then, try opening your account in a private browser. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to launch a new private window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it fixes the issues, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache of your normal browser except for the cookies. Doing this will eliminate any outdated files or data preventing you from connecting to your bank. Otherwise, you can use another supported browser.

Additionally, make sure to use the updated URL or bank name to easily connect and locate your bank. If you're unable to locate your bank, you can refer to this link for guidance.

Otherwise, you can reach out to your Financial Institution to ask for an update about the bank URL and verify if they're undergoing system maintenance, temporarily affecting connectivity. Also, to check on why you're unable to log in on their website.

Once, everything is good and you're able to connect your bank to QBO, you can check out the following articles that you may find helpful in the future:
