I cannot find how to give access to timesheets to a vendor. When I go to manage users and try to create a new user with timesheet access the user disappears.

Hello there, @jimmyplante.

Let's try to access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account via a private or regular window. This way, we can check if this issue is caused by stored cache from your browser.

Stored data for a long period can cause unusual behavior to the browser that can affect the views and performance of your QBO experience. To start, you may use these keyboard shortcuts in opening a private/incognito window:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Internet Explorer & Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to see the user via a private or incognito window, then we'll need to clear your regular browser cache.

If the issue persists, try using a different browser. This way, we can roll out the possibility of a browser integrated issue.

I've also added this great article that you can read for additional reference in managing your users: Add, delete, or change user access.

Also, in case you want to learn some tips and tricks on managing your QBO account. You can always visit our Help articles page for reference.

I have tried different browsers cleared browsers etc.. I ended up just creating another vendor name for the person and was able to create a time sheet user adding the new user from the drop down in add new user. There use to be a check box in the vendor details that said "allow vendor to track time" that box no longer exist either.

Hi there, jimmyplante.

All the vendors can access timesheets. The said option to allow track time is available to employee only. Here's how to add vendor to access timesheets:

  1. Sign in your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Manage Users.
  3. Click the Add user button and tick on the Time tracking only.
  4. Enter the vendor's name on the search box.
  5. Click on the Next button.
  6. Enter the details needed for your vendor's access.
  7. Hit Save.

You can check this article to give you more information in giving your vendor an access to timesheets: How to turn on and set up time tracking.
