Welcome to Community, @arianne-kcngroup.

 

I can guide you in updating your email address in QuickBooks. You'll want to update your Intuit Account Manager. This is the info we used to communicate with your QuickBooks account.

Once you're logged in, hover towards the Sign in & security tab and then Email address

Yep, I already did all that.  I followed the exact steps you detailed.

Twice, just to make sure it saved.  But it is still sending emails to my old email address.

Let's first verify if your email address is already updated in the system. This is to check if the changes you made were saved or not. Let me guide you how:

  1. Head to the Intuit Account Manager log-in page. Then, enter your User ID and password for QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  2. Next, select the Sign in & security tab.
  3. From there, check the Email Address section if this shows your new email address.
  4. Make your changes if needed.

If you see that the email address is already updated and you still receive communications on the old email, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care team. This way, they can further investigate the root cause of the issue. Refer to these steps to contact them:

  1. In your QBO account, select the Help button.
  2. Then, go to the Assistant tab.
  3. From there, enter a brief description of your concern. Example: Changed the contact email but communications keep going to the old email address.
  4. Next, type Talk to a human.
  5. Then, choose either Start a chat or Get a callback.

Yep. Same issue. The new email address is updated everywhere. The old email address is nonexistent, but that email address is still being sent notifications. Not the new one.

I'm here to assist you in solving this issue and help you get notified using the correct email. As what my colleague, DivinaMercy have suggested, we can verify if your email address change was saved in our system or not. Here's how:
 

  1. Visit the Intuit Account Manager log-in page. Enter your email and password for QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  2.  If prompted with a verification code, check your email and type in the code then click Sign in. Disregard if none.
  3. On the left navigation panel, select sign in and security tab.
  4. You can verify if the email address shows the current one you are using.
  5. Update it if it shows the old email you used.

 

After doing these steps and you still encounter the same issue, you can reach out to our Customer Care Team so that they can get this sorted out immediately. To contact them:

 

        1.Click on this page: QuickBooks Online Support

        2. Choose QuickBooks Online, enter your issue/concern in the box provided.

        3. Select Continue.

        4. Choose a way to connect.

I'm having a similar or same problem. All my reports are being created and sent by the old email address. Everything has been updated thoroughly, there is no trace of the old email address in my sign in or settings.

It's the best we can do given they have the necessary tools to look at this issue safely and securely.

 

Here's how we can contact support:

  1. Log in to your QBO company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. Click Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert.
  • Get a callback from the next available expert.

I asked Customer Service about this issue and they helped me fix it. I do not know why they won't offer this simple fix in the forum, but here's what they told me:

Log into: https://merchantcenter.intuit.com/

Go to Contact info

Update your email address.
