Hi britzandchris,
Let's make sure to enter only one customer per line item of your deposit transaction to show the customer name on the report. Allow me to provide you a few information about this.
Entering multiple customers when creating a deposit won't show up the name of your customers once you run the report.
You can create another deposit transaction for your other customer.
I have attached a screenshot for your visual guide.
I got this link in case you have other questions about QuickBooks Online (QBO): Banking.
Keep me posted if you need anything else. I'm always right here to help.

Thank you! I will make separate deposit entries per name. I appreciate it!
This honestly does not sound like a workable solution. I work for a nonprofit and we sometimes have one deposit from 20+ donors. If I have to "make the deposit" 20 times in quickbooks to get the donor name to show up than this isn't going to work for us.
It seems crazy, to be honest, that I can't just enter 1. Sally Smith, 2. Joe Jones 3. Frank Franky etc etc. One donor per line like I fill out the physical deposit slip for the bank. And then if those donations could travel to the donor's information (since their name is in our system) so I can pull a report and see how much Joe Jones has donated this year.
Hello there, @TK-83. I've just got here the steps to ensure you'll be able to run a report showing the donation of your donors.
When recording a deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can follow the steps outlined by my colleague, MariaSoledadG. This way you can easily add the donors in one deposit entry.
Once done, you can run a Deposit Detail report to see how much a donor has donated for a specific time frame. Let me guide you how:
For more details on customizing reports in QBO, feel free to visit this article: Customize reports in QuickBooks Online. This also provides steps on how you can print or export a report.
Also, saving your report modification is a breeze. To do so, you can simply click the Save customization button. This will let you apply the same formats in the future.
I got your back if there's anything else you need about running a report in viewing your donor's donation. Don't hesitate to post your reply below. Have a great day ahead.
