I have the QB online accountant version. I'm not able to access my client's self-employed QB file even though they're on my client list - it sends me to my inactive QBSE.

Hello, emily97.

I understand the importance of accessing your client's books to review and make corrections. With that said, I'd like to take this opportunity to address the issue.

Upon checking, we have an ongoing investigation about being routed to your inactive QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account while accessing your client's data. Please be assured that our engineers are working diligently to resolve this problem.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team so that you'll be added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates on the investigation's status and be notified once it's been resolved. I've included the steps to contact support below.

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. On the pop-up panel, go to the Search tab.
  3. Click the Contact Us button.
  4. In the text box, type something like "INV-96810".
  5. Click Continue, then choose how you want to reach us (phone or chat).
