I have the Simple Start QBO Subscription Plan. Is there a way to automatically charge customers to their debit/credit cards monthly instead of upgrading my subscription?

As of the moment, we're not offering an option to let you (or our clients) pass credit card charges to your customers, even if you upgrade your plan. Please note that this process is not allowed in some states as well, and Intuit may be fined by credit card brands if support this practice.

In relation to this, we also point out in the 3rd paragraph in the GIFT CARD SERVICES section of the INTUIT PAYMENTS MERCHANT AGREEMENT that we discourage passing credit card surcharges to customers.

You may ask your clients to utilize MP to pay your invoice by credit cards. You will get paid by bank transfer or check without any fee.
