Join nowI was talked into converting my QuickBooks Pro Plus to QuickBooks Online. It has been a nightmare. The online version is not user friendly and I am receiving additional charges monthly as well. I got tech support and he charged me, I bought the extended tech support for $500+, yet got charged for tech support assistance. While I just want to go back to what I had, it appears ridiculous . I had my computer tech help me with intuit on the phone... that took 4 hours ($95.00 per hour for my guy). Then was told I would not have payroll and should just start a new company!!! My company is16 years old... my QB's has all my clients.
Can I get a refund for the charges for online? Also I had paid for payroll on my desktop pro, I am being charged and CI need help going back to Desktop!

Just to clarify, how did you contact "support"?
Hi there, @PolyDonna59.
I can help walk you through the steps on how to convert your QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). Also, point you in the right direction for your refund.
Our ultimate goal is to resolve customer's issues as soon as possible. Furthermore, this isn't the kind of customer service I want you to encounter. Please note that communicating with our support is a free feature in the product.
In regards to the refund, I'd suggest communicating with our Customer Care Team. They have tools to check your payment history in a protected environment, so they can process a refund.
Also, please visit this article to know our support hours and get a direct chat for QBDT: Contact QuickBooks products and services Support.
To re-convert your QBO to QBDT, make sure to check our limitations first to ensure a smooth process.
Once confirmed, let's set up your Internet Explorer (IE) by following the steps below.
The next step is to access your QBDT and run as administrator, then close the company. Following that, go back to QBO to prepare the data.
Here's how:
For the next steps, please proceed to this article and directly go to Step 4: Export and convert your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.
Once done, run a Balance Sheet and a Profit and Loss report to ensure that the numbers match. Make sure to set them on an Accrual basis and for All Dates in both programs.
I've added these articles about reconciling accounts and different updates in QBDT.
Let me know how the call goes and conversion by leaving a comment below. I'm always here to help. Keep safe!
