In QuickBooks Desktop, you have several options to update your account information. You can manage it through the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) or update it within your company file. 

 

Before we run any troubleshooting, could you clarify if you're looking to change the company name or the name of the primary admin? Any additional information you can share will help ensure a timely resolution.

 

In the meantime, let's log in to your company to change the name, email, and phone number. Here's how:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and log in as the admin. 
  2. Navigate to the Company menu at the top bar and choose My Company.
  3. Tap the Pencil icon to open the Company Information screen. 
  4. Go to the Contact Information menu on the left panel and type the new company name in the field box.
  5. Input the new phone number in the Phone No. field and type the new email information in the E-mail field. 
  6. Click the OK button to apply the changes. 

 

On the other hand, let's sign in to CAMPs to edit the information stated above. Simply follow these easy steps:
 

  1. Sign in to camps.intuit.com.
  2. Click the Edit menu next to All Addresses or Phone.
  3. Make any changes you need to make.

I need to update my accountants address when I do payroll. It sends her the confirmation. Why is this so hard. I have it in all the places I can find but it keeps sending to her old email address.

Your experience of having difficulties in updating your accountant's email address is not what we strive for, Brian.

 

To better assist you, could you specify which section of QuickBooks Desktop(QBDT) you used to update your accountant's email address?

 

Were you able to follow @risa's instructions to update the information either in the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMP) or directly in your company file?

 

If that worked, I have some additional steps for you to further update the email address linked to your QBDT account.

 

  1. Log in to My Account.
  2. On the Manage your QuickBooks page, choose the product or service you want to manage.
  3. Ensure you're logged into the correct company. If not, select the right company from the Intuit Account dropdown.
  4. Click Edit next to your name in the Authorized Users list.
  5. Update your email address and click Save. Then, click the X to return to the home page.
