I trried to sign up with the 3 months with 50% off and wouldnt let me when i put credt card in. then i did 30 day free and it let me , can you change to 3 month one?

Call and ask Intuit directly to change it. They have to check your billing status prior to decide anything. Otherwise, consider opening a new QBSE account with current discounted price for up to 6 months and cancel your old account.
