Invited as accountant but client is no longer interested

Good morning, I have several clients on my QBO where I was previously invited as accountant. These clients have not continued the relationship and I would like to take them off my menu. How do I do that? Thanks

I'd be glad to walk you through the steps on how to remove the accountant, @Anonymous.

 

Let's go to your user settings to do it. Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Gear.
  2. Choose Manage users.
  3. Tap the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Find the accountant you want to remove.
  5. Click Delete in the Action column.
  6. Select Delete to confirm. See the attached image below.

If I go to the client I'm trying to remove no action is specified. Giles Belfrage

Thanks for getting back to me, @Anonymous. Appreciate the screenshot.

 

It seems that the status of the client you're trying to remove is in Resend invite. That said, you won't be able to view the Delete option.

 

As a workaround, you'll want to edit the email address of your client to someone you know or use your other email address so you can accept the invitation and delete it from your settings. Let me guide you how.

 

  1. Go to Gear.
  2. Choose Manage users.
  3. Tap the Accounting firms tab.
  4. Select Resend invite and edit the email address.

 

After sending, open your email invitation and accept it. Once done, go back to the Manage users settings and then Delete. Below is the image of how it looks like to delete.
