Thanks for posting in the Community, @JenGergen.
You'll want to open the estimate transaction for the product and services that haven't been invoiced yet.
Since we're unable to give the details on the report because of the partial invoicing in percentage or by quantity.

I'm shocked there isn't a report that can show pending income by product and service!
A little more detail on my problem:
We host events. We sell sponsorships to those events. An estimate is created with the breakdown of what events a potential sponsor is looking at supporting (each event is set up as a product/service line item in the estimate).
The solution I need:
What income is pending by event.
Do you suggest something else to accomplish my goal here? I cannot be the only one with this need.
Thanks so much for your continued assist, Joesem.
The income is tracked through creating invoices, @JenGergen.
If you'll want to know how much income is pending, you can use progress invoicing. This will split an estimate into as many invoices.
To start, let's turn on progress invoicing. Here's how:
Once you've done, you can create an estimate
Then you can go to the Reports tab and run the Estimates Progress Invoicing Summary by Customer report. It gives you a complete list of all estimates and connected progress invoices.
For more detailed instruction about the steps, you can click this article: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.
Also, I'm adding this article if you'll want to create and set up project in the future: Set up and create projects in QuickBooks Online.
I'll be always around to help if you have any other questions. All the best.
Thanks for taking the time, but none of this solves my problem, I'm afraid.
I don't need to know just the pending income, I need to know the pending income breakdown by product/service. I already do progress invoicing and the report you have suggested doesn't show the product/service detail.
Also, the Project feature you've shared doesn't work as described, as the project in this case isn't by customer. It's several events that affect several customers each.
Honestly, if the existing reports available would have the option to include the product/service split detail, I would be in great shape (customizing the available reports, I can get as far as the attached test I've shared here: pending estimates by Sales Rep, but the "Customize" feature doesn't affect it further in relation to product/service).
Hello there, @JenGergen.
At this time, the product/item feature is unavailable in the estimate.

It's been three years since the last comment on this post. I have the same issue. When might we see more-detailed options for progress invoicing? I need the progress invoicing report broken down by product or service, as well. At this point, the only option is to screenshot the estimate to get that detail. I can't send a screenshot to my client. Come on Quickbooks! The subscription rate keeps increasing with no new improvements for my business.
Breaking down the progress invoicing report by product or service is an interesting idea, @dawnjohnson. I'll walk you through the process of submitting your idea for customization in QuickBooks Online.
I can see how this feature would be helpful for your business. With this, you'll want to submit feedback to our developers. They can review your suggestions and most likely include them in future updates. Please know that the changes implemented are the results of the suggestions provided by users.
