Is it possible to go back to the old format?

@cynthia42  RE: they couldn't be so stupid as to force everyone to use a single template

Oh, I wouldn't be so sure.

OK, to be fair, it's probably another of the plethora of bugs with the update. There are so many I can't even keep track of them in my head. It seems they didn't test these changes much at all before releasing them.

But hey, they're modern!

Is it possible to go back to the old format?

Hello there, @cynthia42.

I understand the urgency to switch back to the old invoice layout since it has valuable features that your business needs. Let me share some updates about it.

At this moment, QuickBooks Online Simple Start and Essentials users will be migrated to the new invoice experience with no option to go back to the old layout.

If you're one of these users and don't have the option to revert to the old format. I suggest submitting a request to our product engineering team so they can consider adding this feature in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.
  3. Select Next to submit feedback.

You can visit our QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website to track the status of your submitted feedback.

I'm attaching these articles for future reference about the latest updates regarding invoices and estimates and further guidance in personalizing your sales forms in QuickBooks:

Let me know if you have other questions about managing your sales forms. I'll be pleased to help you.

Yes, everybody hates the new format. It doesn't do what many, many customers need because they removed so many features from the new invoices. But "rest assured", Intuit is sure that soon you'll love the new modern updates, and so they're pressing ahead without any regard to customer complaints.

Is there a way to even get the new format to hold my custom template? It keeps switching it back to modern. It can't be so stupid that I have to choose my template every single time - can it? Sage is looking better and better if this is the case.

I can't even get it to hold my custom template. I seem to have to choose to use my template every single time. There must be a way to get it to hold a template, they couldn't be so stupid as to force everyone to use a single template... Sage is looking better and better if that is the case.
