Is there a way a user can be given access only to uploading of receipts into QBO. This would be very helpful .

You can only give specific access to areas using the QuickBooks Online Advances version.

Learn more about adding custom users in QuickBooks Online Advanced.

I understand you only want to give your user access to only upload receipts.

Our programmers are constantly working to make our product more user-friendly. I'll provide feedback, and I'm encouraging you to do the same.

Here's how:

Select the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
Enter your comments or product suggestions.
Then select Next to submit feedback.

You'll want to track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

Just checking in to see if QB might actually be working on this???? QB is missing out on helping it's loyal customers!

I can certainly understand how an ability to set up users with access to only upload receipts could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.

You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in.

Here's how:

Use the Gear icon, then go to Feedback.
Enter your suggestion(s) in the Have feedback? window.
If necessary, attach a file with your Camera icon.
Select Next.
