Missing bank transactions in Quick Books

Hi,

I am missing the first 15 days of my bank transactions in QBO. I tried the following: New > Bank Deposit. On the form, I select checking, added the date missing, Account - Uncategorized and the $ amount, then Save.

When I go to the bank transactions, I do not see the entry but I do find it in the check register.

Apparently, I'm not doing something right or I'm not looking at the right location for the data just entered.

Thanks

Missing bank transactions in Quick Books

Thanks for becoming part of the Community, jm4video. I appreciate your detailed information.

When you connect a bank or credit card account, QuickBooks automatically downloads transactions up to a certain date. For transactions that the financial institution doesn't send, you can manually upload them.

Here's how:

  1. In your left navigation bar, go to Transactions, then Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to upload transactions into and use its View register option.
  3. Locate your oldest transaction, then write down its date.
  4. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  5. Follow their instructions for downloading CSV files of the transactions to your computer.
  6. Check the date range for your download. It should be at least one day before the date of your oldest transaction.
  7. Download the transactions. Be sure to save your files somewhere you can easily find it, like the computer's desktop.
  8. Review your file format and size.
  9. Manually upload the transactions.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with Online Banking which may come in handy moving forward: Connect & Review Your Banking

I'll be here to help if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Monday!
