Your efforts in locating the missing bank transactions have been commendable, @hello230. I also strive for effective financial management with QuickBooks Online (QBO). Therefore, I'm committed to ensuring every problem is resolved promptly, enabling you to successfully reconcile your account.

Before we proceed, may I ask for the specific bank account you're having problems with? Any additional details would be appreciated as this will help me provide a targeted solution that fits your needs.

Meanwhile, let's verify if the ending balance and date are accurate when reconciling as this will enable the system to see all relevant transactions:

  1. Go to the reconciliation page.
  2. Click on Edit info.

  3. Check the Statement ending balance and Statement ending date if correct.

  4. Make the necessary changes, then click Save.
  5. Resume your reconciliation.

Additionally, let's make sure that the missing transactions you're trying to find are already categorized and matched correctly as this is the possible reason why they aren't showing when you're reconciling your account.

To start with, kindly check these three important areas on your QBO banking page to confirm:

  • For review tab: This is where QuickBooks displays recently downloaded transactions. If you locate the missing transactions, categorize them into the appropriate account. Transactions won't appear during reconciliation until they're categorized correctly.
  • Categorized tab: This section displays the status of transactions you have already categorized. See the Added or Matched column to check which account the transaction has been assigned to. If you discover missing transactions are categorized under the wrong account, follow the steps to unmatch and move them to the correct account.
  • Excluded tab: Transactions marked as personal or duplicates are moved to the Excluded tab. QuickBooks does not add excluded transactions to your accounts. If you wish to include these transactions during reconciliation, select Undo from the Action column. Then, return to the For Review tab and categorize them into the appropriate account.

For the next solution, let's review the account's history to determine if the missing transactions are from an earlier period:

  1. Go to Settings and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Select the specific bank account, then click View Register.
  3. Locate the specific transactions, then select it to view more details.
  4. If you can't find the missing transactions, you can manually add them.

To proceed with Step 4, please refer to this article for step-by-step guidance: What to do if you can’t find downloaded transactions in QBO.
