My online account is giving me information from my desktop account

this online account is a new store and has no connection with the desktop acct so what can I do to make sure that information is not on my online

My online account is giving me information from my desktop account

I’ll make sure to get this fixed for you, @userjudd.


This is the first time I’ve encountered this issue. Do you receive any prompts or messages before you’ve noticed that there's a desktop information showed on your Online account?


Usually, this will happen if you’ve migrated from a Desktop account to Online. There are entries that can be converted right away, so you don’t need to move them one by one.


You’ll want to ensure also that your old business information is different from your new one. This way, we can avoid duplicate details since QuickBooks can capture the same company data.


You can contact our Technical Support team in case the scenarios I’ve mentioned are different from what you’ve experienced. They can take a look at your account to determine the root cause of the issue. They can also provide steps to get this resolved.


Here’s how:

  1. Go to the (?) Help menu.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Enter this statement on the box, “online account has the same information with my desktop account.”
  4. Hit Let’s talk.
  5. Choose to Get a call.
