SUMMER SAVINGS 90% OFF QuickBooks for 3 months* Ends June 27
Buy nowWe accidently backed up our database into 2 different company files. Each file has been worked on by 2 users for several months. Our problem is changes make with one user are not showing when another user logs in to use the company files.
We want to merge 2 company files into 1 company files, is it possible without data loss? We have qb desktop pro2020, one user license.
We appreciate for any suggestion or advice!
You may have 2 options:
1. If you are not familiar with IIF, utilize a 3rd party tool to merge data. The exporter tool for the first file and the importer tool for the second file. You only need to purchase one license to work on both files.

2. Purchase a 3rd party merging service.
Good day, @Angie Lieu. Thanks for providing further details.
I'm here to some insights about merging two company files in QuickBooks Desktop.
Merging two working company files isn't available. You can consider looking for a third-party application to merge your data in your QuickBooks Desktop. Or you can use the third-party app shared by @Fiat Lux - ASIA above.
You can directly go to this link and search for a third-party app that can merge your data: https://desktop.apps.com/home.
I'm adding these articles to know more about the Accountant's copy:

Thank you for your advice, Fiat Lux-ASIA
Utilize a third party tool to merge data, I do not think our IT is capable to do this work, our IT keeps telling me to transfer data manually. I contacted Intuit to try to get a better solution from a high tech company, but Julyca Mae, a customer support said the same thing with the IT. I can't believe they are still using an out-of date technical solution.
That is why I went to ask qb community in trying to get prof/ experience suggestions.
Do you think if I can use features like " Back up and Restore" or Migration tool to transfer data?
