Join nowEvery time I try to open a new tab in QB - I am asked to login AGAIN - and when I do I get an error message - forcing the hard shut down (thru task manager) of the app. This has only started happening after a recent upgrade. This is really frustrating to say the least. The main benefit of the app is to open multiple tabs.
See screen shot for error message.
Thank for sharing a screenshot of the error message, atlanticpool2019.
I can see that our engineers have initiated an investigation to determine why the QBO Desktop App is crashing when opening a new tab.
This means that they're already working on this one to resolve the issue as soon as possible. I would recommend reaching out to our chat or phone support teams. They will be asking for your account details so they can add you to the list of affected users.
We will also be sending out email notifications as soon as the issue is resolved. Here's how to reach out to them:
Let me know if you need anything else. The Community is always open to make sure you get the help that you need.
It is a month later and still no resolution. Very close to going back to the deskstop version.
Welcome back, @atlanticpool2019-1.
At this time, our product engineers are looking for a permanent fix on this issue. As a workaround, you can consider logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account through the web browser.
If you haven't yet, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team to ensure you'll get an update on the resolution status. They can also add your company to the list of affected users, then provide this investigation number for easy tracking: INV-55782.
To reach our support team, please follow the detailed steps provided by my peer JenoP above.
