Just started with QuickBooks at the beginning of this year. I have been using QuickBooks online up until yesterday, when I started using QuickBooks self-employed.
Is there a simple/easy method for importing my transactions from the online account into my new self-employed account?
QBSE is a stand alone product and you are unable migrating data from your QBO account. You have to import the transactions manually from your bank or utilize a 3rd party tool to help.

Hello there, @APP-WI!
@Fiat Lux - ASIA is correct. The option to import transactions from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) is not available.
But you can download a CSV file of transactions from QBO and manually import them to your QBSE account. I'll show you how to accomplish this.
From here, open the Excel file and remove the unnecessary columns. Make sure to data under the Date, Description, and Amount columns are correct before saving the CSV file.
Once done, import your transaction into your QBSE account using the steps in this article: Add Older Transactions to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
You may also read through this article that'll help review your transactions after uploading the file to put them in the correct accounts: Categorize and Match Online Bank Transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
If there's anything else that I can help you with aside from working with your bank account and transactions, please let me know by commenting below. I'll be around ready to assist you. Take care always!
