Join nowI have several companies that I had to delete from QB Desktop. When I go to the QB Desktop Mobile app to upload receipts, these deleted companies are in my list of companies. How to I get them to not show up here? Its confusing to my users to see these companies in the list because a couple names are similar and identical.
I got your back, Rachael.
I'll share some insights on how to isolate and fix this issue. I suggest logging out and logging in to your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Mobile App to refresh it and for the updates to take effect.
If this is not the case, I suggest updating your QBDT Mobile App from the Google Play Store or App Store.

Sorry, Neither one of the above helped. I signed out and back in. No change, all companies were still listed. I deleted the app and re-installed, logged in again, and all companies were still listed. Is there a way to remove some of these company files from the QB Desktop Mobile app list?
Thanks for getting back with the Community, Rachael17.
You can remove company files from your company list while using QuickBooks Desktop on a computer.
Here's how:
If they continue showing up in the mobile app after performing the steps above, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care team and notifying them of what's occurring. They'll be able to pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and create an investigation ticket if necessary.
I've also included a couple detailed resources about managing company files which may come in handy moving forward:
If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have an awesome Friday!
I spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service to try to resolve this issue. Their suggestion after they finally said they would work on it after we disconnected, was to assign these files to a different Intuit user. While that works for my users, what about my admin user id? My admin user (me) lists all my companies including the ones I have deleted. I wanted them to delete them in the back-end or at the very least hide them. There has to be a way to get rid of these. Its very confusing to see three companies named the same thing when I am uploading the receipts and not being sure my receipts are getting to the correct company file.
