Join nowAll was fine. I got a reminder notification in the upper right (red exclamation). When I click on that, it tells me "Please click Restart Now to restart QuickBooks and install updates. I will click on that, QuickBooks closes, and restarts moments later. The red notification remains. I have tried everything including uninstall / reinstall. I am on QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2017 Release R5P.
Also, since the first try at installing, it takes much longer than normal to open QuickBooks.

This seems to be a common problem. Try going into the update window and click RESET UPDATE then try again. You might have to reboot.
