Quickbooks Support Fraud

I keep getting emails regarding 'Quickbooks Upgrade required, etc' I ignored them, but then received a call from [removed] and was blasted with you need to pay for this support, its part of intuit, its for 2 years, on and on. I kept asking who this person represented and they said Intuit. They couldn't answer my questions and I finally just had to hang up. Received another call today saying they understood from the last call that I didn't want the service and that the $600 they were going to run my card for was cancelled. But proceeded to say they would charge me for the Quickbooks Support upgrade at $299.99. I again said no. It started getting ridiculous and I finally had to insist that my card not be charged.

It was charged. It was also refunded. Thankfully.

But here is what I didn't like - THEY HAD MY CARD INFO!!

The associated email was from [email address removed] which I know isn't Intuit; but, could someone explain how they got my company and CC info?

Very disturbing.

Ellen
