Had 1 desktop quickbooks that ran 3 different companies on it. 2 of the companies had no payroll (Non-Profit) and the other company was a for profit that had payroll. They were under the licence of the non-profit. The companies split- the 2 non-profit stayed under the original license and moved it to a different computer and location. The for profit company backed up their books and deleted their quickbooks off computer and then purchased a new quickbooks desktop under their own name. They also purchased a new payroll subscription.
Problem: when the companies books were put into new desktop it still shows the payroll under the old license. Is there anyway to move the for profit payroll without losing the data to the new license, so that the
split is complete.
