Good day, jcrist1964.
Currently, we are unable to customize a statement that shows your budget and actual report the same way as you've described. You"ll want to manually enter and choose a time period in the Date field.
I will personally share this with our product engineers, so they can consider this for their future updates.
I'm always around if you have other concerns. Have a good one!

Hello GlinetteC,
Thank you for your reply.
I am a little confused by your suggestion to export the report. What I am trying to do is the opposite from 'customizing' the report.
All reports have a 'Report Period' field that gets applied to the data shown in the reports. That Report Period is always a drop-down menu with many options, such as: This Month, This Year, This Quarter, etc ...
For some reason, the Report Period drop-down menu in the Budget vs Actual reports does ONLY provide the option 'Custom'. I am interested on being able to select other Report Period options, such as: This Year, This Month, This Quarter, etc ...
Is there a way to bring back all options for the Report Period drop-down menu for the Budget vs Actual report?
Thank you,
JOHN CRIST
Allow me to step in, John Crist.
I appreciate you clarifying things. Let me share a few details about the reporting period that you're looking for.
There's a bit change in the Custom drop down within the Budget vs. Actual report. You may access the reporting period in the Customize screen.
Let me show you how:
I've attached some screenshots below, so you'll know what I'm referring to.

I am hoping this clarifies somewhat. I think there is a misunderstanding about the drop-down for "Report Period". It used to be that we could select a budget vs actual report for the same report periods as the other reports - this year, this month, last year, etc.
Now, because of the limitation, running just this specific reports to be automatically emailed for example, becomes useless as the reporting period cannot be set. Particularly for those of us with shareholders, Boards, etc., this is an important ability and a real annoyance to have to manually work around every month.
Since the report used to work this way, it is not a new feature, but perhaps that is how it needs to be reported in your workflow so please feel free to address this however is necessary.
Hi, Rob.
Having the dropdown options for the date ranges would be much easier to switch the report periods. Like you, I’m sure that other users would like to have this option as well. I’ll surely take note and pass this preference over to our developers. This helps us make your experience as user-friendly as possible in the future.
For now, we might utilize the workaround provided by my colleague above about customizing date range.

STILL waiting for this change to take place!
