As of the moment, there isn't an integrated way to customize the screen width while working with QuickBooks Online. But you can change the display settings used by changing directly from the screen resolution of your computer settings and the browser application you're logged in with.

This should be a high priority fix for Quickbooks, I have two different computers and two different browsers. When i try to look at a report of account transactions I cannot see both the date on the left and the slide bar on the right at the same time. If I try to remove a column or make a column narrower it just spreads out the white spaces and the problem remains.
